Brescia Onwusah (pronounced Bree-sha) is the founder of Divine Black Girl, a ministry dedicated to affirming Black girls and women in their God-given identity. She is a wife and a proud boy mom of four.
Her personal spiritual journey led her to the discovery of her D.I.V.I.N.E. nature, inspiring a lifelong passion for encouraging Black girls and women to see themselves as fearfully and wonderfully created. What began as personal conversations and community mentoring evolved into a calling to intentionally build a sisterhood rooted in confidence, purpose, and community.
In 2025, Brescia launched Divine Black Girl to celebrate, inspire, and empower Black girls and women to apply D.I.V.I.N.E. principles to every area of life.
A Virginia native now living in Raleigh, North Carolina, Brescia holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Administration from North Carolina Wesleyan University.
Beyond ministry, she loves fashion and music as creative expressions of identity and joy. She is the curator of Divine Vintage, a thrift boutique featuring modest fashion, and the creator of Divine FM (Divine Feelgood Music), a playlist inspired by her belief that music has the power to heal, uplift, and inspire.
P.I.N.K. Pouch Outreach: A Reminder that a Girl’s menstrual cycle is Divine, to always be prepare and keep it Elegant.
The Divine Black Girl P.I.N.K. Pouch is a once-a-year outreach designed to support young girls in embracing their natural cycles with confidence and care. We focus on providing P.I.N.K. Pouches to selected young black girls in the community to help ensure each girl receives the menstrual essentials she needs while learning to honor her body.
At Divine Black Girl, we believe that a girl’s cycle is powerful, Divine, and deserves to be treated with elegance…one of the key principles of being DIVINE , caring for your body, maintaining hygiene, and respecting your cycle, through preparedness and elegance.
The P.I.N.K. Pouch reminds every Divine Black Girl: this is your body, your cycle, your care, handle it with grace, confidence, and elegance.
