Brescia Onwusah (pronounced Bree-sha) is the founder of Divine Black Girl. Brescia is a wife of 25 years and boy mom of four. Many years ago, her own spiritual journey and discovery of her true DIVINE nature as a DIVINE Black Girl led her to casually sharing this identity and message in her personal life with other black girls and women that came across her path and at times, in her spare time, in college and later as a wife and mother with a growing family, working in her career, mentoring young black girls in the community during after school programs. In 2025 she wanted to be more intentional and purposeful in using her creativity, passion and time devoted to the mission of building a sisterhood, celebrating, inspiring, and helping black girls and women to nurture their natural DIVINEity in order to be young ladies, women, wives and mothers who apply D.I.V.I.N.E to all areas of their lives, truly being empowered, to have the peace, fulfillment, happiness and success they deserve.

Brescia is a Virginia native, residing in Raleigh, NC. She has her BS in Organizational Administration, is a true creative at heart, who loves spending time with her family and traveling.
